A Pom's World is a reader-supported, independent website. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Those commissions help us keep researching, testing, and publishing.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a special tracking link to a product or retailer. When you buy through it, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale as a thank-you for the referral. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be otherwise.

How we mark affiliate links

We label them in two places. Every affiliate link carries an asterisk (*) directly after the link text, and every article opens with a disclosure box that reads: "How we earn. Links marked * are affiliate links, and they earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Independent & Pom-tested: nobody pays to appear here, and our Poms actually use our picks."

The box sits directly under the headline, above the article itself, so you see it before you reach a single link. It also appears at the top of The Favorites. Links to brands we have no affiliate relationship with are left unmarked, so an asterisk always means the same thing.

Programs we participate in

A Pom's World is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. We also take part in other independent affiliate partnerships with brands and retailers whose products we use and trust.

Our promise: commissions don't influence recommendations

This is the part that matters most. Our picks are products we have used with our own Pomeranians: Beignet, Bella, and Boqui. A commission never buys a recommendation, a higher ranking, or a kinder review. If a product doesn't earn a permanent place in our pack's routine, it doesn't get recommended here, no matter what it pays.

Occasionally we link something we haven't used ourselves. For example, our dogs wear Tile trackers because we carry Android phones, so we link the Apple AirTag for iPhone households. When that happens, we say so in the article, so you always know which recommendations come from our own experience.
